- What is Online
Counseling?
- Online Counseling is an
online way (i.e. through internet) to get admission in the Course and
Institute of your choice. From any where, through computer with internet
connection, the candidate can
participate in the Online Counseling.

- Who is eligible for
Online Counseling?
- Candidates who qualify
the JET shall be eligible to apply for admission to various courses
through Online counseling.

- Where to go for
Online Counseling?
- To participate in Online
counseling, go to the
nearest Participating Institutions (PIs) without payment of any charges OR
Cyber Cafe OR any computer with internet connection.

- What is the fee to
participate in Online Counseling?
- For the purpose of
participation in counseling
“Counseling Charges”
of Rs. 500/- (Rs. Five
Hundred only)
per counseling shall have to be deposited in the account of Punjab State
Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training in any of the
designated branches of Punjab National Bank/HDFC Bank.

- What is the procedure
for registration?
- After
having paid the counseling fee the candidate
shall log on to www.psbte.gov.in where
registration form shall be displayed on the screen. Candidate shall be
required to fill in basic details, which shall be used for choice filling
and seat allotment including the candidate “User ID” which is his/her Roll
No. and “Password” as generated by the candidate. After successful
registration he/she will get a confirmation message on the same page. In
case the confirmation message is not displayed then the candidate has to
re-register himself.

- How to fill the
choices?
- After
successful login, candidate’s homepage will be opened. Goto Available
Choices link, List of available colleges and trade will be displayed.
You can fill the College and trade of your choice provided in the list in
order of preferences. After the choice filling period is over, save the
choices and take the printout of the same.

- What to do after the
counseling result is declared?
- After
successful login, view the result of the counseling. Take printout of the
Provisional Allotment letter along with the admission Fee slip. Then
deposit the admission / semester Fee at the designated bank branches of
PNB and HDFC.
- Candidates
are required to report to their respective allotted institutions within
the specified period (as per the counseling schedule) along with the
documents/ testimonials/certificates/ proof of deposition of counseling
fee and semester fee in the designated bank. If candidate do not report within the specified period, their
allotted seats shall be cancelled and the candidate shall not have any
claim on the seat, whatsoever.
