Procedure followed in Decision Making Process

 

9.1     What is the procedure followed to take a decision for various matters? ( A reference to Secretariat manual and Rule of Business Manual, and other rules/ regulations etc can be made)

 

The following committees are constituted under the PSBTE&IT Act 1992 to frame the rules and regulations: -

 

(i) Academic Committee;

(ii) Affiliation and Accreditation Committee;

(iii) Examination Committee; and

(iv) Finance Committee.

 

9.2     What are the documented procedures/ laid down procedures/ Defined Criteria/ Rules to arrive at a particular decision for important matters? What are different levels through which a decision process moves?

 

          Agenda for the item is prepared which presented in the various committees mentioned above. The minutes are recorded and circulated with the approval of the Chairman. If no adverse comments are received these are presented to the Board of Directors (BOD) meeting for final approval.

 

9.3     What are the arrangements to communicate the decisions to the public?

 

         The decisions approved by BOD are communicated to the Head of the Institution who in turn conveyed to the students and teachers  through their own notices.

 

9.4     Who are the officers at various levels whose opinions are sought for the process of decision making?

 

i) Secretary of the Board –In case of all administrative matters

ii) Registrar –In case of Diploma level examinations

iii) Director Academic – With regard to affiliation and academic matters

iv) Controller of Examination – With regard to ITI,s and Art & Craft examination

v) Deputy Controller (F&A) – Regarding all financial matters

 

9.5    Who is the final authority that vets the decisions?

 

Any decision taken by the various committees becomes rules for its implementation with the approval of Board of Director. However Chairperson can take any decision on the decision of the committees & post-facto approval is taken in the next meeting of Board of Directors (BOD)
